Hampton Piano is having great success with the use of the Internet in the following methods:

Piano Marvel is a software that connects to your electronic keyboard to teach, monitor, and correct while you feel like you are just having fun playing a video game. Set your own speed, listen, watch and play. Earn points as awards and collect trophies for your online trophy case! Mostly used for learning rhythm and reading notes, yet includes songs for all levels.

Using Oovoo.com or Skype for live video conference style private lessons from your home you can have individual attention to your needs learning to play the songs you want to play. With a webcam over an acoustic piano or electric keyboard of the teacher and the student, this is almost the same as a lesson in person at the studio!

Youtube: Recorded instructions for each lesson are placed here for easy access. Students can easily play back to view reminders during the week and make sure they are playing their new songs correctly. Put your laptop, phone or ipad on your acoustic piano or electric keyboard and play along to keep lessons fresh.

Policies for Private Lessons

Lessons run August through May.

Optional piano recitals are held in November and May.

Monthly Tuition is due at the beginning of each month. Be aware that some days of the week will have 5 lessons instead of 4 depending on how the calendar falls. (Increasing tuition by one extra lesson)

Commitment is month to month for the whole month. Refunds are not available for missed lessons. Make-up lessons will be offered as your credit, but only at the Teacher’s availability. Make-up lessons can only occur within the same month as the missed lesson.

If the Teacher closes the studio for a holiday you will not be charged.

If you refer a new student who stays with the program for two months, you will be credited one free lesson as a thank you.
